I decided to research a few movie titles so that my group would get a fair idea on what we needed to produce. Here are a few I found:
The reason I chose this particular film poster was because it is unique and stands out from many others which i came across. The font is unusual as the letters are all different sizes with a variety of colours and even though it may look simple it also looks quite quirky at the same time. By just including the film title instead of any images, this allows the audience to recognise the film just by remembering the film title.
This film poster is similar to the one of The Hobbit as they share similar colours and they have not used any particular images or characters in order to target the audience. Both the posters attract the audience and draw them in by creating quite a dark, eerie atmosphere. By doing this, it leaves the audience wondering what the film will be about. The difference between this and The Hobbit is this poster has left quite a lot of room allowing the title to be in the centre of the poster which makes it look even more mysterious.
Whilst looking for action movie posters, they all consisted of similar layouts and colours which generally made the posters look evil and tense. I chose this one in particular because this included a picture which the ones above do not. The woman in the poster is the main character who is made to look fierce and dominant as she is the overall attraction of the poster as she is very eye catching. She is also good looking and is wearing black with a gun which may be seen as 'sexy' by the audience which is probably the main reason she is on the poster. The film title is quite big and in capital letters so the audience would put the name to the face which also links in with why they would include the female actress' name.
The movie titles above are quite similar as they are dark and
mysterious which is a key part of our film. I picked out these in
particular because this would be the sort of move title image we would
go for.
However, I also picked out this poster because our film consists of some romance and so we would need to decide whether or not to include a romantic look in the image of our movie title. This consists of the typical colours you would expect in a romantic film poster for example, red, white, yellow etc.
